About Me
Tiffani DeVonne, born in Kansas City, MO. but raised in Kansas City, KS., has always known that she was destined to be a writer. As
early as age eight, she informed her mother that she wanted to be a writer and she has held onto that dream. Currently, she is on her way!
As a teenager, she was always writing and often sharing her work with family and friends. After graduating from high school, she pursued and achieved a B.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism and a minor in Graphic design from Pittsburg State University. She wrote for the yearbook and newspaper staff on
campus, while continuing to write creatively in her spare time. In July 2001, she graduated from college.
Tiffani DeVonne began writing her first novel, 3 Guys Later in September 2003 after a thought provoking conversation she had with her Aunt. The idea of writing a book had lingered in the back of her mind for quite some time. She was inspired to writer after a two year hiatus. It took her a year to complete her first novel, 3 Guys Later.
"I am excited to finally share my voice and my writing," said Tiffani DeVonne. "I hope to gain recognition in the literary world because it has been my life-long dream ever since I was a child. It doesn't feel like this is my first novel, because I have written so many other works, but this is the first work that I have taken to the next level and had it published."
What inspires you?
God and being in the midst of successful people who have made the impossible happen by thinking outside the box.
What person would you like to meet?
Oprah is one person whom I would like to meet because she has defeated all odds. First, because she is a woman and second because
she is a person of color. She had a dream and in spite of her adversities, she ran with it and never looked back.
What is the coolest thing about your personality?
I'm down to earth and I love to laugh. I generate a sense of warmth
when people meet me.
What time would you prefer to awake without an alarm clock?
Ten in the morning is the best time for me. There's nothing worse than being jolted out of your sleep by the loud buzz of an alarm
clock.
